In the third installment of The Seaforth Chronicles, Ivy's sister Zinnia finally has a chance to tell her side of the story. It had been almost three years since I read the first two books in The Seaforth Chronicles, but I loved the first two installments, so I was looking forward to this one as well. I wasn't disappointed. This time it was narrated by Zinnia, Ivy's sister who was being punished for her selfish deeds in book two. She was forced to live on a boat with an evil sea witch while she rehabilitated herself. Like the other two books, this one was well-written and enjoyable throughout, with several suspenseful scenes mixed in with some interesting magic, some interesting characters, and some touching moments. I believe this book could be read out of order, but the entire series is excellent.Product details

This is an enchanting tale of the second sister in the series. Told from her point of view it wends it's way through her trials and growth as a person. Enjoy this good read.
So fun and entertaining. It was difficult to put the book down. The exquisitely written descriptive passages had a seemingly endless flow of creativity in them. Fabulous story line. My favorite so far. Loved it. This series of books would make wonderful movies.
The books are a fast read but held my interest from the very first page. I enjoyed reading all four and cannot wait until the fifth one comes out. The nice thing is that even though each book was a different story it followed the one before it. I hope they make a movie out of the series.
I really enjoyed this book. I would continue reading books in this series if more were written. It was well written and I enjoyed the characters.
This is by far my favorite of the three in the series! We get to know Zinnia and Magella, whereas before we only observed them from a distance. Zinnia views everyone with distrust as she was previously tricked by Rodinand. Drumm and Ivy make their brief appearance in the book, and also Izadora, but this is Zinnia's story - a story of the sea rather than the forest. I loved the descriptions of the merpeople, their language and life, and of course Eadgar.
Zinnia does have her own darker side, always somewhere under the surface...and her love for power and magic. She is kept under control by the forgetfulness tea, but when she gets a chance she can still be quite wild, even if it is in self-defence...and then she develops a serious relationship - will that change her? I can't wait to see what happens further with all the characters. When is the next book coming out? It is totally addictive!!!
